What I admire about Anne Rice: a writing style that is very rich. I enjoy the love of detail she invokes to her passages and for the originality and complexity of her characters. And -at least in her earlier and more impressive works- Mrs. Rice incorporated a beautiful sensuality to her prose. I am not sure this makes her exactly "remarkable" now, as I think she's allowed pride, fickle religious causes and obsession with the Clintons to mar her intellect and talents. But I will always admire the original she once was.
