D-Unit (Korean Girl Group)
D-Unit: A Rookie Girl Hip Hop Trio
D-Unit, signed by D-Business Entertainment, is a hip hop trio girl group in South Korea. Unlike most new groups in the K-pop industry, D-Unit made their debut with a studio album, instead of a single. Welcome to Business, their first album, consists of nine tracks that are a mixture of hip hop, r&b, and electronica. Already, a few international countries, notably Japan and France, have taken an interest in D-Unit.
They made their debut at the beginning of August 2012 with the song "I'm Missing You." This song was written and produced by Kush, a popular producer who works with Big Bang and 2ne1. However, four songs on the album were written by D-Unit member RAM: Crush, Sleep In, Anniversary, and Before the Weekend Comes

I'm Missing You (Dance Version)
I'm Missing You combines acoustic, hip hop, and electronica all in one catchy song. I was surprised by this song because I was expecting an edgier, tough song based on their appearance. However, I really like the song and was far from disappointed. I don't like to judge someone by how they appear, although I suppose in the entertainment industry you are "supposed to" look the part of whatever image you are conveying in your song. To me, how someone looks isn't a big deal and I happen to love their clothing style so far. A lyric from this song that I really liked was
"I can wait forever, but never say that we're done forever. Every night, in my dreams, your last smile tortures me."
Crush, written and composed by RAM, is a cute and carefree about having a crush on someone. I actually like this song better than their debut song. In fact, it's my favorite song on the album. The acoustic version is very lovely, but I prefer the other version.
Sleep In is a good R&B style song about wanting a break from a lover, despite loving that person: "I just want to lay down today. Just for today, I want to sleep in a little. Just for today, no one wake me up. I want to be dead today. Just leave me alone." This is my second favorite song on D-Unit's debut album.
Turn the Lights On is a catchy song about wanting a guy to be real with you and have confidence in himself, otherwise he stands no chance.
Goodbye Tata is a sad song about not being able to stop loving someone although that person is no longer your lover.
Luv Vision is a sweet R&B love song about wanting to remember every little detail about the one you love, even those that seem minuscule to others.
