Eros Ramazzotti-The Man And His Music
Eros
The Voice
Sitting in a quaint Italian Pizzeria in an “off the beaten track” area of Amsterdam, in The Netherlands, the air was enticingly aromatic with the fragrances of Rosemary, Basil and Garlic, all being added to one delicious sauce or another, whose recipe would no doubt be a closely guarded family secret.
During a conversation with my Dutch friend, my concentration was immediately diverted to the Music being played and to say I was moved by the voice would be an understatement! I was covered in goosebumps that we all experience when something so special happens.
Two of my own most memorable times for the goosebump experience were watching The Riverdance Interval performance during the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest, held in my own fair city of Dublin, and Susan Boyle’s Audition in 2009 on ”Britain’s Got Talent”.
I asked the waiter who it was and if I could see the cd. The next day the album "Calma Apparente” (Apparent Calm) became part of my music collection and Eros Ramazzotti became another major reason to love all things Italian.

Eros-The God of Love
He first gained International success and recognition with his album “Tutte Storie” (All Stories), selling over six million copies and was a contributing factor in him being signed up for a new recording contract in 1994 with BMG International Records.
A career spanning over twenty-five years, this highly regarded and respected Italian superstar has sung duets with many world class Artists including Tina Turner, Anastasia, Cher, Ricky Martin, Carlos Santana, Wycliffe Jean, Andrea Boceilli and Luciano Pavarotti, which has made a significant impact on his International popularity.
Ramazzotti's appeal was demonstrated with his 2007 compilation-album “e2”, a double-CD of 35 tracks including on the first cd, four new tracks and fourteen original re-mastered tracks and on the second CD there are seventeen reworked tracks.
This album has received critical acclaim worldwide and one that contains great variety in songs. It also features over six collaborations . . . . . even one “un’emozione per sempre” (an emotion for forever) that features Irish legends The Chieftains.

Apart from being easy on the eye, the music of Eros evokes many words as way of a description, including expressive, melodic, uplifting, emotional and exciting.
After being introduced to the wonderful world of this man six years ago, he has accompanied me in the car around Europe, to the local shops, at dinner parties and in a candle lit room with a roaring fire and a bottle of Vino!
There seems to be no occasion where his music would not be appropriate and I would invite you to bring the sounds of Eros Ramazzotti into your life . . . . . . You will not be disappointed!
