Hundreds of singers/groups were active during the 60s and 70s. Some achieved superstardom very deservingly but some others can only cite providence for their popularity and not their musical prowess.
For instance, Lobo was a wonderful singer with loads of excellent songs in par with Don Williams or John Denver in folk rock/country but he was not as popular. On the other hand, I am yet to recover from the shock I received when someone declared that the Beatles did not merit to be up there. What do you think?
