Kids are always funny. If you want to spend some serious time, go people watching at a local park or shopping mall. You will find some good material!! Good luck!
Good Day SimoneSmith
That's one of the most interesting questions we've had around here for some time. Are you a comedienne? Aspiring? Well, I guess you know all the traditional sources: the news, politicians, children, as heathermarie628 said, in-laws I understand are like the gift that keeps on giving, siblings, co-workers, bosses.
I would say our fellow hubbers here at HubPages, but that might be very hard to translate into a stage routine..... Or would it?
Okay, crazy idea! If its a complete stinker, you didn't hear it from me. I don't know if this has been done already, but why don't you do a one-woman show or a show with you and maybe two or three others? It would be an on-stage comedic performance piece. You'd need some props, couple of card tables and old t.v. tubes and keyboards (to simulate computers).
You could call the show "Blogger" or "Blogosphere" or "Online." What the show would be about is some of the craziness one runs into in the world of attempted money-making online writing, blogging, what have you; it would be about the various kinds of characters one runs into online: the good, the bad, and the ugly, as it were; it would be about the off-the-wall things people allow themselves to say online --- like that.
FOX NEWS! Particularly Glenn Beck. So funny how self righteous he is. Also funny how much they get wrong. Politicians are funny. If political humor isn't your thing, I would suggest getting personal. Look at your own life. Your family, your friends, your job, your own stories and experiences can be very funny if you look at it from the right perspective. Sex is always funny too. Hope this was helpful. Have fun and don't forget to laugh. Laughter is good for your heart.
