Has reality TV gone too far exploiting our image obsessed culture?
E! Entertainment TV has announced a reality show where brides to be compete for plastic surgery procedures. Brides will compete at tasks related to wedding planning and the winners will receive procedures from their "wish list." http://tv.msn.com/the-wrap/bridalplasty … ?GT1=28103
Reality shows are by default pointless and they prey on people's joy of watching a somewhat "real" situation which is actually scripted to the very last line.
As for the exploiting of our cultural and social flaws - yes, it can be said that it exploits that too, instilling the idea that looks are everything into children's minds.
