   What is the definition of talent?
   
   Fruit is often inspected and there are quality guidelines. Fruit that is over ripe or bruised may still fall well within acceptable quality, if that fruit is to be cooked and made into jam.
   
   Can Justin Bieber hold a tune? Yes. Does he sing songs which appeal to a mass market (of pre-teen females)? Yes. Does he have what it takes to have a long and prosperous career? Only time will tell.
   
   And it would not surprise me in the slightest if in 5 years from now we've forgotten who Justin Bieber is.

   dont know,... honestly dont care,... one has to assume that he's just as talented as the last 10 bublegummers that pop culture has produced and destroyed, and no less talented than the next 10,... re; the harmonized teenage angst that all of them belt out at level 9,... so what,...... i dont care now, and the american public wont remember to care in 12 months.

   Talent is perceived by those that are judging him...if we were to look at the feelings of America as a whole most would say yes indeed, JB is talented. I beg to disagree. He has talent, but so does the rest of the world. He has figured out how to use his sub par talent to make money and become an idol to more than just young girls, but even women.
