From where information about the amount of the sold tickets?
I have variety magazines that go back to 1938, they list box office rental numbers every year.....from the rentals you can figure out box office gross...then there are numerous charts ..that give average ticket price by year....with a quick division ..you arrive at tickets sold.
But Variety published information of Big Rental Films more than $1,000,000, from where information about films with rentals there is one less million? For example Julius Caesar (1950)- 0.10 million tickets
