Music used to reflect society but now it affects more than ever - Follow up question
Hi, Moeflats I agree with on your comment about how music used to reflect society and now it obviously does not. I was hoping if you could elaborate more on what you saying. Are you going along the lines of a lot of artists now sing about how it's not really of them and their experiences necessairly but ideals? - Melinda
Society now uses music as well as ALL forms of media to try to influence us. Some media is corporate-owned and pushes confusion for the purpose of indoctrination. It's very large, it doesn't at all reflect normal reality and to someone who doesn't know what's going on: it is very detrimental to their natural personality and beliefs. NONE of it serves to entertain, it entertains to "serve" your mind(like food) to be used by someone else. Instead of: inspiring, it dumbs down the imagination; instead of empowering the individual, it weakens the individuals sense of control; instead of enhancing our lives: it renders us paranoid, bored, demoralized beings.
