    This is extremely difficult to answer. Most of my favourites are dead, because I love the era of classic Hollywood and most people of that era are gone.  Favouirite and best aren't  the same term. hmmm. Of the classic era, I love Jack Benny and Sid Ceasar the most.  Of the era after that, George Carlin and Richord Prior. Of those who are alive, Join Stewart. I couldn't pick  just one among the dead. But alive was easy to answer.

    I'd have to say Lewis Black.  His comedy is both physical and intellectual.

    I'd have to say Brian Regan!
    Seeing him live almost made me need belly surgery. I laughed from the moment he bounced on stage, to the last 'free-for-all' improv closing jokes... LOVE that guy. My wife feels the same. Google/Youtube him!!
