Do you think bands can really save someone's life?
More and more people these days are saying that a band or artist "saved their life" and that they couldn't live without them. Is it just an exaggeration?
I think it's somewhat of an exaggeration. I'm hugely into music and I wouldn't say that about a band. Maybe someone could connect to a band's music or message, which could lead to a more positive lifestyle (thus saving their life). But even in that case it's still an exaggeration.
I suppose someone could believe it and I think it is terribly sad. How sad to turn to anonymous people who have no investment in our lives to keep us going. I think someone who believes a band or artist saved their lives has some deeper problems.
