Great Escape or Dirty Dozen

Which is the better war movie? I offer these two because they are like mirror images of each other. Both are centered around two completely different types of prisons within the realm of military society. And both deal with different types of military operations. Dozen is very violent and has to do with striking at one of Nazi Germany's most vulnerable targets. Escape is more intelligence-driven and has to do with striking at a highly fortified target not by attacking it but by scattering from it. And Charles Bronson gets to be a hero in both.
Which do you prefer and why?

Great escape! I like war movies so both were great! I liked because it seemed more believable.

Great Escape for sure, I like both these films, but Escape is memorable not only for it's gripping storyline, but it's all star cast, beautiful scenery throughout the film and that stirring theme tune. Plus Steve and that jump of course(although not actually him who performed it).

One of my all time favourites.
