How many bands are named after food?
Just a thought that occured to me the other night.
Gotta give a shout out Meatloaf. Cream isn't food but they still come to mind also.
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Black Eyed Peas
The main one I thought of apart from a few of the ones Thief12 mentioned is a band called King Prawn.
I tried to stick to bands whose names are basically straight-up food, and not ones that have food mentioned in the name somewhere. Pretty strict, but the rules weren't specified.
A few that sprung to my mind:
Orange Juice (well, a beverage, but whatever)
Cream (see above)
Salt 'n' Pepa
The Moldy Peaches
Totally forgot about green jelly - they had that 3 little pigs song - nice!
Good call on the "Three Little Pigs" song! Did you know that Maynard James Keenan of Tool and A Perfect Circle fame did the falsetto vocal part on that tune? The bit that goes, "Not by the hair of my chinny-chin-chin" is the man himself...
Probably around 60 ish haha including solo stage names, but to name a few: Meatloaf, Cranberries, Vanilla Ice, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Cake, "Mushroom"head, Black Eyed Peas, Cream, Clams Casino, Spice Girls, Salt-N-Pepa, Peaches & Herb, The Raspberries, Korn, Ice Cube, Sugar Ray, Lambchop, Tangerine Dream, The Flying Burrito Brothers, T-Bone Walker, Vanilla Fudge, etc.
We butter the bread with butter (funny name, but awful music)
Frittenbude (german band, translation would be "french fries hut")
Iron & Wine
