   What are the ways that Marilyn Monroe is the emblematic and quintessential sex symbol and represents
   
   the ultimate blonde mystique?
   No one symbolizes the sex goddess other than the iconic Marilyn Monroe.  She had the IT factor.  More than a half century after her death, she is still remembered as the ultimate blonde and the ultimate sex symbol which was/imitated by many from the late Jayne Mansfield, Madonna, and even Lindsay Lohan.

   I absolutely live Marilyn! It wasn't only because she was beautiful but since she died at such a young age (36) and, somewhat mysteriously, there's still a bit mystique around her. Although she was and is a sex symbol, there was an innocence about her at the same time. She also had quite a complicated life: emotional issues, a couple of failed marriages, she was unable to have children and to top it off her relationships with the Kennedy brothers.
   
   The mystique surrounding celebrities really doesn't exist anymore. Thanks to technology, if a famous person so much as belches the entire world hears about. It doesn't take long anymore to get sick of a person whose work you once admired because you ens up getting inundated with every aspect of their lives on TV, the internet, magazines, etc.
