What is your favorite song about rain, wind, and/or storms?

I live in an area of the country where it rains - A LOT!!! Tonight the wind and rain our buffeting my house and my area. Songs about rain, wind and storms keep coming to mind. What is a song you enjoy, or that expresses how you feel about rain, wind, and/or stormy weather?

The Beatles wrote a song called Rain, it was a B side on vinyl 45 - can't recall the A side - too many years ago!! I love that song.

Listen to the Pouring Rain is another one, not sure who wrote and performed it.

Riders on the Storm is a bit darker but powerful. From The Doors.

'Rain Drops keep Fallin' on my Head' from Butch Casidy and the Sundance Kid. All bright and cheery. Good fun. It slips in neatly in what was and I suppose still is an unusual western.

Another song that I have always liked to do with rain is 'Sing in the Rain'. The 1952 musical by that name still stands up well today.

'Stormy Weather' isn't bad. Sung by Ethel Waters it does create a mood.

The 'Wind in the Willows' song is also rather nice and can take one back to childhood with no trouble at all.

Rod - Raid Drops Keep Fallin' On My Head is a modern classic. You are right, it's light and happy. It was one of BJ Thomas' greatest hits.

Joyful, she was incredibly talented and under appreciated for her vocal talent. That is probably the song that hits me most often when I think of rain.

My first preference is "Pennies From Heaven" sung by Bing Crosby from his 1936 movie.

My second thought is "Stormy Weather" by Ethel Waters (1933.)

For my wife and I, our wedding song was "Raining on Sunday" by Keith Urban. Pretty well sums up a lazy day when it's raining outside.

The Morning After, by Maureen McGovern. http://youtu.be/_KClpLzFftU

It is uplifting to me because there is a morning after.  I think that they used this song on the original Posieden Adventure with Earnest Borgnine and Shelley Winters.

One of my favorite songs is Its Rainy Night in Georgia, the one I have on my Ipod is a duet sung by Conway Twitty and Sam Cooke.
