Endgame sucked

I wonder if the Russo brothers made it this crappy to keep people on the hook for the next phase of Marvel films, or if they genuinely think it was good. I really have no idea what they were thinking.

Almost all of the characters got completely destroyed, and it wasn't because Thanos snapped his finger.

Hulk used to be this super smart scientist who was cool because he turned into an astonishingly savage rage monster who could only be tamed by Black Widow. He should have figured out his performance issues, kicked butt, and lived happily ever after with Natasha. But now he's more like The Thing from the Fantastic freaking Four...

Thor turned into a blubbering crybaby, and (ha, ha), he looks like the Big Lebowski. Fricking lame!!! He should have spiked his ax on the ground and turned back into his regular ass kicking self at the end. But instead, he kept the fat suit and braided his stupid beard.

Captain America the grief counselor!?! Weak sauce.

War torn, post traumatic stressed, Tony Stark invents time travel in a couple of hours??? Gimme a break. They should have at least shown him listening to AC/DC or something while arc welding some stuff to make the stinking time traveling machine.

All that time traveling stuff just screws up the entire thing anyways. They should have figured that out from the X Men movies. Or at least light bulb should have gone off when Rhodey was standing there listing off all the lame time travel movies in existence.

And then Captain Marvel comes out of nowhere to save the day. Aside from the fact that I hate Brie Larsen, they didn't even give her character any substance!! She's just some snarky, all powerful, newcomer who pops in and out of the story.

    What are your thoughts?

It was kind of goofy, like a drunken superman.

I go for the special effects as it was part of my pleasure business at one time.

Pleasure business? What kind of pleasure business?

Started out as an 3d animator. Main income for 45 years was sand sculptor and build huge snow playground. For ten years in Toronto had a full time staff of 20 people making costumes, props, puppets, museum displays, theme park displays and special effects for stage and many kinds for film.

          Serious fun

Oh, for most of the English speaking world, "pleasure business" means the sex industry.

True, sex is the ultimate pleasure. That is why the women online dating sites, sometimes ask me if I am a stripper.  They didn't read my profile. How many really want to see a senior strip.

To be fair, there was a time when Bruce Banner and Hulk did combine to create Professor Hulk in the comics, so what happened to hulk in the movie  did happen similarly in the comics as well.

I had my own problems with Endgame as well.  But unlike you, I actually liked the fat thor arc to be honest.  Not saying I want to see Thor be fat for now on.   Heavens no.  For that one film?  Sure, but hopefully he'll be back to form in "Thor:  Love and Thunder."   As for the rest of the movie, it was pretty much just fan service basically, and there was one gaping plot hole at the end, which ruins the whole film  if you ask me, but that's just me.

I see what you're saying, but I thought it was fine. The battle in the end was epic. It's been a while since I saw it, so I don't remember my initial impression.
