Anyone going to watch the Avengers next week end?
I am going to try to get to the movies and see this one.
I know...did you see any of the individual movies? Captain America? The Incredible Hulk, Thor?
All but Thor. I'll have to do that before I go see this. I'm not usually into the comic characters, but I loved Captain America. I'm hooked now.
The Captain movie was good...it helps to see how the characters became super heroes to have the background on their powers...good luck
Yes, I will be seeing the movie. It looks good and the combination of the people in it should prove interesting.
I have never seen a Black Widow movie but perhaps one can be made after the release of Avengers
That's okay. I've never heard of "Black Widow" as a character. Then again, I didn't follow too closely to "Avengers" comics anyways. But, Scarlett is definitely pulling it off without a doubt.
I could not agree more...I actually was not sure if I would like Thor but I did. I knew I would like Captain America and Iron Man...
Well, I knew I was going to like Thor. As a Dungeons and Dragons DM and player, Thor was always one of the I would pick for my character providing it lined up right. His ability and powers are definitely worth watching.
I wasn't sure if I was going to like Captain America, but knew I was going to enjoy the Iron Man series. However, I liked Captain America but never followed the comic.
Speaking of Thor, after last nite I can hardly walk!
It;s out in the movies here already! Saw it this weekend. Its pretty good!
Awesome...Where did you see it? It is not schedule for US until May 4
Yeah, that's the US. It's probably being shown elsewhere in the World.
Can't Wait. Have booked to see the movie this Weekend. My friend saw it this week ( It was out in UK last Friday) and loved it. Apparently a good mix of action, wisecracks, drama and spectacle. I do like director Joss Whedon's prior work with ensemble cast (Serenity.
I am crushed. I thought this referred to a film relating to the cult TV series "The Avengers", with Patrick McNee as John Steed and Diana Rigg as Mrs Peel. One of the best TV series ever in its original form. As with so many things though, it went through further versions with far inferior actors.
The original Avengers is certainly available on DVD from sellers on Amazon UK. Don't know about Amazon US.
I saw it today. It was pretty good, although I admit I am not the biggest fan of superhero/action/adventure movies so I can't really say that it was excellent.
I went to see this yesterday and it exceeded my expectations...I thought that Captain America would be the first Avenger introduced in the movie but it was not
I've watched it twice already xD
It's brilliant if you ask me, so much better than I ever expected!
It fun, great effects (I even ducked one time, when I watched it in 3D), and the actors are great. Exceeds the "original" movies with each character by a mile.
Watched it yesterday and am very impressed. It's hard to juggle multiple characters and give them all a moment to shine. Whedon has done just that. The screenplay is tight and loyal to fanbase, the acting is superb, the humor is outstanding ( Tony stark gets some of the best lines but others aren't far behind), The effects were so cool even my CGI fatigued eyes widened at 'Hulk Smash' and the flying 'SHIELD HQ'. ILM have done a spectacular job. The Female characters are usually sidelined but Scarlett's Black Widow is pure kick ass.
What makes it work is the whole package of how Marvel have cannily set up this story over the past half a dozen movies and Joss Whedon has tied all the threads together is one wonderful, awesome tapestry.
Bring on the sequel, I say!
well said Domco...I could not agree more...the Hulk smash scene was great...I look forward to another
I thought it odd how quickly the Hulk turned from a mindless beast to being so controlled.
Regardless, I liked the film a lot.
Great film and I enjoyed, the only thing I didn't like is when the Hulk was throwing the bad guy back and forth like a rag doll. A little to violent for me; but apparently the kids didn't think it was that bad. lolo

As it turns out, Mark Rufallo was cast as the new Bruce Banner in the upcoming "Avengers" movie. Plus, Jeremy Renner was cast to play Hawkeye. For those unfamiliar with Hawkeye, he's essentially a skilled marksman that shoots people with a bow and arrow. He's supposed to...

The 4th Cap movie trailer is out. With no Cap. Sam Wilson has the mantle as he did in the comics. Unfortunately the Disney + plus show was terrible. A waisted opportunity. Hopefully Disney and marvel learned from this and can get back to the great stuff MCU was prior...

In recent news, Marvel Studios offered each country an option of removing the name "Captain America" from the title to be called simply "First Avenger" if the word "America" would be deemed too offensive due to recent political issues. Well as far as we know,...

Yes, Captain America has reached Ireland, and it is a 3D hit, I had to move my head when that shield came flying across the cinema, I wondered what I had done to Captain America to single me out for such punishment, however, when I seen another guy drop his popcorn in order to avoid the mighty shield...
