According to various sources, Marvel is rumored to be looking for two black men, or people of color, to play both Charles Xavier and Magneto in the upcoming X-men reboot. Some sources are citing the reason for this change particularly for Magneto is because one of the screenwriters on the film feels keeping the original origin would mean they'd be stuck with a 90 year old man as Magneto in the mcu, so he's been pushing for Magneto to go from a Holocaust survivor to a survivor of the Rwandan genocide several years back instead, so they'll be able to cast younger for Magneto. What are your thoughts on this? Do you want to see them race change these characters from being white to black? Do you want to see Magneto go from being a Jewish Holocaust survivor to now being a black Rwandan survivor? Please discuss.

Wow so Pete buttigieg doesn't think it's a big deal too. However the problem is that while he's right there's nothing about Charles Xavier that requires him to be white, he's wrong about magneto because it's a key essential element to his character that he's a Holocaust survivor from world war 2 so I think you'd be pissing off a lot of people if make them both black guys. Not saying I'll be one of them as I personally don't care either way but I can imagine it won't end well for marvel studios and Disney if they go that route.
