I totally agree with Randy Jackson - I have been waiting for Crystal Bowersox to do a Janis Joplin song and she finally did it. It was totally her style.
Tonite, Crystal Bowersox rocked!!
Anybody agree?
Of course, I'm undecided if she should win...I liked Aaron Kelley too.
If you could do me a favour... Idol shows here in Australia about 12 hours after it is shown live in the U.S., so if you can make sure you don't reveal too much in your thread titles.
This one wasn't so bad, though if it said "Crystal Bowersox finally does..." it would have been better.
But I'm just concerned that I may learn of the results or interesting developments before I get to see the show simply by seeing the threads listed on http://hubpages.com/forum
Thanks.
sorry, didn't know. I guess I kinda thought Australia would be ahead of US...can't remember where the international date line is....
Thanks for letting me know to watch the thread titles.
We are, but that doesn't mean we get to see shows before they're filmed
I think when it's being shown live in the U.S. its around 10am the next day here. Not the prime time slot. So it's delayed until 7:30pm.
I like all of these three performers, especially Crystal. I wish they allowed the contestants to sing original material, though. It would make the show more fresh (but I'm sure they have their reasons why they don't allow that). :-(
If you like Crystal, and haven't listened to her performing her own material, go to YouTube, and type the words Crystal Bowersox Farmer's Daughter. I am really impressed with the caliber of songwriting on this song!
Knowing the expectations of the winner from past seasons, Crystal would be much better off being voted for a second or third place finish. Just my opinion.
Crystal and Siobhan are the Top 2 of this year's Idols by far. I can see the Final 2 between them if they stay true to themselves and keep improving.
That being said, I would like to see Crystal step "outside the box." She is great, but sounds the same actually each week. That is good, but...remember past years when this has happened. Chris Daughtry is a good example of what I am trying to say.
Diversity keeps people interested. People may start to "assume" that certain contestants are safe week to week and not vote and they end up going home.
very true. I still dont understand what happened with Daughtry, though. I mean, when I tried to call & vote the line was busy the entire time. My son voted for the other contestant and got through immediately. I personally think the phone lines got jammed for Daughtry, so he lost.
I remember that. If you can remember...Elliot Yamin was probably in danger of going home from the Top 4. Elliot gave an unbelievable performance and Chris was...well the same as usual. I still think people voted "to save" Elliot and some of those votes cost Daughtry.
The final 2 that year was the worst of the AI seasons.
Still watching here in the Pacific NW. Crystal hasn't sang yet, but now I'm looking forward to it even more than I already was!
You not see it live? Or are you using DVR?
It plays at 8:00 p.m. here, in prime time. On results night, I can go on the internet to find out who was booted before the show even starts here.
hmmm, you have a gullible friend you could place a bet of who goes home before they see results?lolol Oh that would be bad.
I think the best three performers on Idol this year are, Crystal, Siobhan, and Michael Lynche. They look like they are going to have a contract no matter what the final outcome of the show.
I think its coming down to crystal and sioban I like Lee and michael too.But lee needs to get confident his voice is awesome.

Again...the 2nd best person wins...The finale was great though, all those 70s music guests. Great for people my age And Joe Cocker still has it!I can see Crystal having a great career ahead of her. The other guy? Not so sure.

OK, it was only an old bloke sitting with his wife outside Priceline in the local shopping centre. I smiled at him and his good lady as I passed, and he asked.... "Don't you write about cars on the Internet?""Yes I do" I beamed." I read your article on the BMW 5 series...
