One for sure is the Deer Hunter. And there was one where he played the arc angel Gabriel and Viggo Mortenson was the devil I wish I could remember the name because it was, I think it was " The Prophecy ". Great movie. By the way did you know he was in " Annie Hall " ?
Yes! Check out my hub... http://hubpages.com/hub/mtd-best-films- … erformance
I have only seen his performance in Notorious and that was good.
The only movie I liked him in was Hairspray. The only other one I can think of is Batman Returns.
joe dirt, suicide kings and so many others its hard to say what his best is. He also has hosted snl around 8 times, hes such a great actor!!!!
He plays a sort of wacko scientist in "Blast from the Past", a fairly amusing comedy. Sissy Spacek plays his wife. Both performances are priceless.
He had a brief part in "True Romance", where he was a gangster, interrogating Dennis Hopper, and ended up snuffing him.
Quite a bit of profanity and racial slurs in that scene, but it was one of the better parts of the movie.
He always plays a great gangster role.
I love Blast From the Past! However, his best performance has to be the Weapon of Choice video from Fatboy Slim!!!!
he was nasty in true romance and great in catch me if you can as the dad. To m e he makes jeff bridges look like todd bridges!!!
