My question on this subject got eliminated so I moved to a forum. The reason why I'm posting this is because I just recently met someone that doesn't like music AT ALL. I have never met anyone in my life that doesn't like music. So I'm just curious...how significant is music to your life?

I enjoy music of all sorts smile metal, rock, soft rock, blues, country and even opera lol not to lala for classical but do have moments wink I use music to dance around to, listen while working at something or during housework. It's lively, soothing, inspiring, lyrics, notes, rhythm and voice put together can hit the right emotion smile

Music has always been a big part of my life, I have been a "sing along to the radio" kind of girl  my whole life.  I use to perform in musicals so you can see singing is enjoyable for me.  More recently, my daughter is in a band and we are constantly going to gigs and hearing all different styles of music.

It is very enjoyable for me to see my daughter doing what she loves and I can honestly say I LOVE her music. : )

Life without music= a very quiet world

I love music, and couldn't go a day without it.  I mostly like classical music, and my favourite instrument is the harpsichord.  I do also enjoy some pop, especially from the '60s.

Music is food for the soul. If you feed your soul with good food, it brings emotional healing, peace to the mind and strength to the heart. But if you feed your soul with poison, you know...! He who does not like any kind of music is a dead person!

Music is the way I express myself. Its the way I let go of everything holding me down and helps me share everything that is keeping me up. Without music, I wouldn't be anywhere. It has helped me make the right choices, stay on the right path, make new friends, maintain healthy relationships, and even saved me from suicide.
Music means the world to me.

    Wow not liking music?!
Music takes me to different times. I can be driving in my car and hear a song that takes me back to my childhood and I can remember how I felt on a certain day that I must have heard that song and my memory has stored it as a trigger. It can make me feel every kind of emotion. My children have certain artists they love already. My 3 year old loves Michael Jackson and The Eagles. Because we listened to The Eagles a lot while pregnant, my now 3 month old stops crying when she hears them.
I already know the music I want played at my funeral. Depressing? It is the songs that resonate most with me in my life and the ones I want people to hear after I've gone and think of me.
Music is in my soul and is food for my ears. I need it to keep healthy.
