Red Dwarf: All episodes on DVD
The BBC's Red Dwarf - a space comedy
I had to have this collection, there was just no doubt about it. I had watched, and loved, the first five years of this television program when I lived in the UK. Then I came to the States and missed the continuation.
Every hilarious episode
So when I saw that the entire production was available on DVD in America there was no hesitation whatsoever. Now I can watch all the old shows that I enjoyed so much AND see the new ones that I'd missed by erroneously moving here. Would things have been different if I'd known that none of my TV favorites were on American channels? Who knows but today it no longer matters and I can easily buy favourites online.
Fun in outer space
Yes, it's a strange concept. A space ship suffered a radiation leak and there is only one human survivor. To accompany him, he has a hologram of a late shipmate, a rather daft old computer and a wonderfully vain human-like creature that evolved from the ship's cat. Later they are joined by a robot version of P.G. Wodehouse's Jeeves. Yep.
Gazpacho and Wilma Flintstone
If you know the series, then you'll know that only in an article about Red Dwarf would you ever be likely to see a Spanish soup and an American prehistoric cartoon character in the same sentence.
If you don't know the show then I imagine that your interest has been piqued somewhat. Scroll down to see a selection of quotes.
An eight disc set
Whether you're a veteran fan or completely new to this program there's nothing better than owning every single episode that you can watch at home whenever the fancy takes you. Worth absolutely every penny.
