Synth Single Review: “Fire’’ by SIXMIXSIX
SIXMIXSIX’s Fire erupts with heavy intensity. The track commences as rattling drums snap through the music and sounds in the background wriggle and swell. A resonant bass floor slowly moves in waves as the rhythm breaks and stutters. Technologically shifting tones evoke robotic ghosts before the beat hits hard, creating a groovy motion.
As the drums flourish, the track trips. Sharp-edged sounds slide with dangerous import as the heaving cadence shifts and the mechanical noises wander. The lead synth has a distorted, open-sounding quality as it wriggles, guided by the cleanly pulsing low end.
Once again, the drum beat flourishes and ravaging sounds snarl, crackling like burning flames. This track’s hammering power and hint of darkness galvanize me. Now the guitar comes in with a funky melodic line, bursting with shimmying life. The addictive rhythmic pattern adds clean shape while the guitar twists before the track ends.
