Rihanna has a double probability of winning with her single "Rude Boy" and her joint venture with Eminem in "Love the way you lie". Hopefully, the jury doesn't get carried away by the Eminem mantra as he has other categories to win too, like the Best male or the Best HipHop. Best song should primarily focus on what it is meant for : the tune, the lyrical beauty and the message it tries to convey.

The song is a tale of a falling relationship, an abusive and regretful love and violence. The violence would seem even more disturbing if only Eminem and Rihanna weren't singing it. Both of them had a personal experience with violence while in love. While Rihanna was the victim of domestic violence from her partner, Eminem himself had been one such violent partner. What more could a singer offer to his fans more than opening up his life infront of them? Atleast in that way, the message of the song is relatable. I liked the ranting rap. I liked Rihanna's soothing chorus which contrasted the rant. But unlike every love song, the message might not be acceptable by all. It goes like this. No matter how violently a guy treats his lover, she is bound to accept it as she belongs to him. This spooky aspect of tolerating domestic violence from loved one is viewed in the the girl and the guy's point of view.

Goods

Eminem's choice of words is extremely brilliant. Perhaps it was easy for him as he had experienced the feeling. The song resounds from the hearts of countless short-tempered lovers who are struggling to control their anger to avoid losing their loved ones. I really cried for these lines.

The girl gets ready to leave unable to sustain the guy's anger each time when they fight. But the guy convinces her each time to stay back lying every time that he would control his anger. The girl sings that she gets carried away by his words and decides to stays back even when she knows that he is lying to her as always, because "she loves the way he lies".

A guy can't be so adament in wanting his girl to stay when she gets pissed of by his anger. There are better ways to keep our love from going away. He could rather try to control his anger.

Caliornia gurls, perhaps is an apt nominee for the "Best Video" award. Maybe they might not have spent too much time and money in outdoors, while all they needed was a decently spaced studio to bring to life paintings of the Art Director.

The theme lies in a board game wherein Katy comes as a pretty little coin moving according to the dice thrown by Snoog. Her job is to rescue the girls who are captured in some form in the candy world.

GOOD

Whether or not the song relates to the Californian lifestyle, it demands your attention with colorful visuals and mouth watering candies all over. Atlast a smash for this summer has come. Katy is shot as a candy herself. The scene where she lies on top of a cotton-candy-like cloud is soooo cute. The chorus is really lively and it can make a wonderful feel-good song. But not when you have diabetes!!!

BAD

When compared to "the way you lie" which deals with a very intense theme, this theme seems so light as the candy themselves.

It was only last year that Katy met Brand Russell, the British Comedian who was hosting the 2009's VMA. Within months, they became Mr. and Mrs.Brand. This year's EMA would not only see Katy performing on stage but also see the hot couple's presence.

Miley recently broke up with her boy friend Liam, and after that her lucky charm has gone away. This month she caught herself involved in a hit-and-run case though she claims that it's all because the paparazzi are creating unsafe driving conditions for her.

She is very innovative with and is determined to do what her heart says unmindful of what others might think of her. She won the Billboard music awards 9 times She was nominated 6 times for the Grammy and won it twice. She was nominated 10 times for the EMA and has won it once. She has won the BET Awards once.
