Updated on November 28, 2011

What do you want your child to be ?

Despite the amazing experience when you will be a parent, it also requires lots of your time, along with responsibilities. Parents are the main factor in their children progress, depending on how you want your child to be is up to you.

From the moment your child born his learning process begins, early childhood experiences are critical to the emotional and intellectual development of a child.

During these early years, 75% of brain growth is completed. How the brain matures further depends on the environment around him. Actually those facts encouraged me to do some searches about how to raise a healthier and smarter child during this crucial period of development.

Children improvement mainly depend on the quality of the basics "eat, sleep, play", in his daily routine. you will certainly make a difference by paying a slight attention to his routine. Later on the hub you will find more information about those basics and how it can effect your child if it wasn’t well offered.

what is your child diet?

Studies always stressing on good diet, because it is vital in a child's early life as the brain grows at its fastest rate during his first three years.

"Good nutrition during those three years may encourage optimal brain growth"

Many studies says ,when children diets contains many of high fats, sugars and processed foods are not only bad for their health but also have a lower IQ, other than those which their diets contains more pasta, salads and fruit.

To cut things short “your child health and intelligence will depends on how you feed him.”

Fast learner= Good night sleep

Night sleep will actually improve his memory, because while at night may be the best time for his brain to consolidate all memories from the day.

On the other hand, lack of sleep may actually hurt the ability to create new memories.

Besides if you want to improve it better, can be by creating associations. because memory formed by associations will help him remembering things faster.

Do what you can to help your child having the sleeping hours he needs... bed stories, warm milk, etc..Because it will help him in his memory progress and faster in learning new things.

Show him the LOVE

Show your child the love he needs. Because if you offer constantly care to your baby, it reassures him and creates a positive environment for his brain, to continue to learn new things.

Later on as your child grows older, he will be more responsive to his environment. He will want to play with objects and interact with people.

Try to provide opportunities for your child to interact with other children of his age. or take him to new places like the zoo, gardens, museum, etc..

More interacting with your child will also help, because countless research has shown that a child's intelligence is related by the amount of interaction he has with his parents.

You are the coach

Stimulating a child's brain starts from the moment he is born, because manly child developments are at his first years.

Stimulations are the brain train you do for your child,

For example by hanging mobiles above his crib, will able him to observe some movements and increase his visual senses.

Or If you are constantly talking and reading to your child will help in his language skill progress, he will not reply in early stages but actually what you are doing here is training his brain to relate words with meanings.

Stimulations are the main part of children's skills improvement, so be creative and come up with new ideas to enhance your child development.

Hobbies

Children's hobbies, isn't all about doing something they like; It benefits in several ways;

Children are in self-discovery journey, and hobbies help them to express them selves more and understand the meaning of personal accomplishment, consequently will assist them to have a better self-esteem.

it's up to him to choose his hobby and up to you to encourage him, but you can provide materials or ideas to assist him to be more creative in his hobby and express more of him self.

The future of your child lay in your hands

Parents play a major role in their children's life. While by what you give may not automatically makes your child a genius, except every effort you make will be appreciated, and will definitely help in the improvement of your child health and skills later on.
