Proud Dad and Mama

Well, the time has come. Years of preparation and planning are about to be realized. If your a parent then this time is bittersweet and if your a college bound teenager this moment is just sweet. I am sure you have a pretty good idea of the items you will need but a good checklist never hurts. I have included some items on this checklist that we didn't take when our first went off to college, but would have come in handy. There are so many new adventures on the horizon. Let's make sure you are prepared for every single one of them.

  • Detergent
  • Fabric softener/ dryer sheets

This is a huge period of adjustment. Feeling prepared and having all the supplies you need on hand will be one less thing to worry about. It is a lengthy list so get started right away. If there is anything I have forgotten, message me and I will add it to the list. I could leave you with an inspirational quote from Oh, the Places You'll Go! by Dr. Seuss such as, "Today is your day!Your mountain is waiting. So...get on your way." Instead, I want to remind you that as difficult as this is going to be, it is the natural next step. So I will end from another Dr. Seuss book, Marvin K. Mooney Will You Please Go Now, "The time had come. SO... Marvin WENT."
