   At what age should a child sleep on his/her own bedroom?
   
   After six months, one year old, toddlerhood, pre school? What is your opinion about this?

   Any time is fine as long as you are comfortable with it. I personally waited til about 5 months or so when she wasn't waking up every hour throughout the night, even then her bedroom is right next to ours, not on a different level that way I can hear any little noise she may make.

   From the very start in the crib. You can have a baby monitor to listen in on the child. You never want to start the habit of letting your child sleep with you, it is almost impossible to break that habit. Plus, it will also give the child a since of independence by sleeping alone.

   My babies have slept in their own rooms from the first night we brought them home from the hospital. I am a fairly light sleeper and did not want to wake up every time one of them rolled over or breathed loudly.
   
   However, I think the answer to this question completely depends on context. When I lived in Central Asia, entire families slept in the same room for their entire lives. They would see our practices as being incredibly lonely and boring, while we see our practices as fostering independence and responsibility.
   
   The books about raising children all have very strong opinions about your question. I personally think parents have enough pressure already and do not need to lose sleep over sleeping-locations
