I've grown a cherry tomato plant inside but it grew over six feet before the tomatoes started to...
ripen. I tried pulling the stems growing between the main stalks to keep it from getting out of hand but it just got taller. Any ideas? Thanks
Tomato plants need lots of light. If you don't have a window get a grow light next time.
It is usual to pinch out the tomatoes growing tip when it has reached five trusses, as well as pinching out the side shoots. The idea is to not let the tomato grow too big so that it can divert strength to producing fruit. If you don't pinch the growing tip it just keeps growing.
