Getting your toddler to sleep in her own room.
My niece is four years old and she refuses to sleep in her own room. What can I do to get her to sleep in her own bed. Im worried this will effect her in the long run.
Please don't worry. Your child will eventually sleep calmly alone. For now how about trying to lay with her until she falls asleep in her own bed. Maybe she just isn't ready. Another idea is to let her have favorite toys in her bed to allow her to feel confident and comfortable. Remember, everything always works out as it should. Whatever we have worried about in the past works out. Keep the faith:) Check out childliteracyathome.com and abclegacy.com
It won't affect her. She will gain the desire for independence especially when she is old enough to go to school.
One of my daughters was 6 or 7. I laid down with her every night until she fell asleep. Then when she was in first grade she wanted to do it all alone and, well, she is grown with her own children now and is just fine.
