Have you ever danced with your daughter?

I will never let go of the memory of dancing with my daughters on their wedding day.  I can't quite explain it...but, when I think about that moment, I feel...well, again...can't quite explain it...it's both good and bad at the same time...when I danced with my number #2 daughter..."Butterfly Kisses" was the song she chose....have you danced or danced with your dad....?

...I'm thinking, the Father/Daughter dance is a very important part of a wedding.

You are a very lucky man and have a very lucky daughter as well smile I remember very clearly as a young girl, stepping on my father's feet and asking for (or demanding) a dance whenever I felt like it. He always did so with a smile. My dad passed away in 2006 and while he won't be there for my wedding, I am still quite lucky for the good memories of my dad that I do have. I totally agree, the Father/Daughter dance is a very important part of a wedding. Butterfly Kisses is an beautiful choice!

ah yes, I had a slow dance with my daughter recently, she was low mood due to studies. I hugged her and gave a slow dance. She says yuck!

When our daughter was in 5th grade, she took a 6-week after-school dance class that taught some of the "classic" ballroom dance steps. She was pretty good at the jitterbug.Turns out that my mom taught the jitterbug at the YMCA when she was in high school. When she came up for Christmas that year, she and our daughter jitterbugged to Jinglebell Rock, etc. It was so cute! One of my favorite Christmas memories.
