Do you let your kids lick the cookie dough or cake batter for the sake of tradition or are you too concerned about salmonella?
I always let my kids lick, too. I wouldn't be too afraid of salmonella from eggs these days. I could be wrong in that.
Of corse! I licked so many spoons and bowls in my days as a kid, and I never got sick. It is safe if you use good, fresh eggs.
It's hard to not let them lick after they see me do it. So yeah--I'm guilty.
