Lemon has been known for ages for its antibacterial and antiviral properties which help boost up our immune system. Lemon contains lots of nutrients that are beneficial to our health such as Citric Acid, Calcium, Magnesium, Vitamin C, Bioflavonoid, Pectin and Limonene. This is some of the benefits of lemon water that you may or may not know of.

Removing Acne

Lemon contains citric acid which works well in curing acne prone skin. Vitamin C found in lemon is one important property that helps in making your skin healthy and glow.

Instruction:

Take a cotton ball, soak in lemon water and wipe the cotton ball soak in lemon on your pimples. Let it sit there overnight and cleanse your face the next morning. You might feel stink on your face when you try it for the first time but as you get used to it, you won’t feel that stinking sensation anymore.

Another method you can try is lemon and honey facemask. Cut the lemon in half and adds honey. Place the mixture onto your pimples and let it sit there for 15-30 minutes. Wash your face afterwards with water. Do this twice weekly. I recommend doing this only at night before going to sleep. If there are further acne problems, it’s better to ask for advice from dermatologist or doctor before continuing with this treatment.

Remove Mouth Ulcer

Antibacterial and antiviral properties found in lemon helps in speeding up the healing of mouth ulcer.

Instruction:

Squeeze a lemon and mix it with warm water. Take the mixture and gargle it for at least 3 times a day. It might stink a little at first but as you get used to it, you won’t feel that stinking sensation anymore.
