Traveling to Connecticut

Connecticut is located on the East Coast of the United States.

Bordered by Rhode Island, New York, and Massachusetts, Connecticut is one of the smallest states of the 50 states in America.

Connecticut may lack in size, but the broad range of activities will no doubt leave little room for lack of fun!

Alpacas

Kid-Friendly Attractions.

If you are traveling to Connecticut for the Buttonwood Farm Sunflowers for Wishes annual event in July, you might also want to visit Six Paca Farm, in Bozrah, CT about 20 minutes from Griswold.

Guests can feed and pet the alpacas while learning about alpaca fur uses. There is a gift shop which sells alpaca fur products.

I've personally taken my own children to this farm and can tell you how much fun it truly is! The alpacas are friendly. The farm owners are genuinely interested in each visitor. It's a must on your list of fun things to do if you are traveling through this area!

Restaurants and Shopping.

Ten minutes outside of Griswold is a town called Lisbon.

Travelers can find a variety of familiar restaurants along the Lisbon Landing, over 500,000 square feet of shopping and dining.

At Lisbon Landing you will find a few popular chain restaurants such as Ruby Tuesday and Panera Bread.

There are other traditional pizzerias around Griswold and through the Town of Lisbon as well.
