10 fresh basil leaves
4 cloves of garlic finely chopped
2 red chilies finely chopped
1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce
2 tablespoons of light soy sauce
2 tablespoons of sugar
half a pint of chicken stock
and 1 tablespoon of oil

Method

You’ll need a few ingredients to prepare this meal. You’ll need 400 g of dried rice noodles, 1 beef sirloin steak (150g) thinly sliced (or any tender steak), 10 fresh basil leaves, 4 cloves of garlic finely chopped, 2 red chilies finely chopped (As prefer), 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of sugar, ½ cup of chicken stock, and 1 tablespoon of oil. You can switch these to suite your taste.

Next you’ll take the noodles and soak them in warm water until they get tender. Take a large pot and cook the noodles until they are done but not overly soft. Take a frying pan and heat up the oil and toss in the garlic and chilies, next add the beef and cook it for about 3-4 minutes or until done. Last but not least add in the light and dark soy sauce in the frying pan.

Put the sugar into the mixture. Bring all this too a roaring boil then add in the noodles and fresh basil . Cook for 5 more minutes and there you have a quick 30 minute meal. Perfect served with warn hunks of crusty bread. Enjoy!
