Grill your favorite steak!

An all-time favorite is using beer to marinate meat for grilling, or "carne asada". If you prefer, use your favorite steak, such as Rib Eye, T-bone, or Flank, just to name a few...it's your choice!

Instructions:

  • Just sprinkle the meat with the usual spices (garlic salt, onion powder, pepper, salt, any spice you normally use).

  • sprinkle with one beer. Save the rest for yourself .

  • Let the meat rest-- while you get the fire going.

  • Turn on some sounds too -- don't mind if you want to dance!

  • Invite some friends or enjoy with your loved one.

FYI: for those concerned with the use of beer, the alcohol will burn off after cooking.

Looking for an idea to celebrate a special day? This is sure to spark up conversation and be delicious too!

♥ IDEA: This could be a great birthday or anniversary celebration in the making... avoid overcrowded and expensive restaurants! It wouldn't hurt to bring out some candles either.

.

Carne Asada... just means, grilled meat, in Spanish

As you probably already know, you can order "prepared" or marinated meat for carne asada at your local butcher. This saves a lot of time in having the ingredients on hand as well as the cost and preparation. Did you know beer is used? You might want to ask what they put on it, because they use beer at several of my local butcher counters (at smaller markets). This would be the quick way to do it...just light it up, start grilling. MMmmm great smell!

Want more intense smell and taste? Before grilling: also add chopped green onions, garlic, cilantro, and squeeze of lemon...UNBELIEVABLE!

Be sure to have lot's of fun, anytime you are grilling, or cooking. It's a sure way to be creative and enjoyable for all ages.

Wishing you all the joys of life... keep cooking... keep positive... and, of course, eat healthy for a healthy body

Marinating meat in beer is reallyyyyyy good. Try doing beer can turkey. It's where you roast a turkey with a beer can inside. Gives it a lot of flavor & moisture.

while i have not been able to cook something or try something that used a beer can in the recipe, it is something that is definitely on my to-do list.

applejuic3 - you have to try it, the beer gives it lot's of flavor/tenderizes meat. Let me know how it works out for you.

Dear Lupine . . .You had no Contact slot on your page so I am leaving this reply to your last comment that you left on my question on the Q&A about "MY" problem of doing all I can for my wife and its not enough," well a hubber on that page, I will not call their name, emailed me and said that me discussing this was creeping her out, so I sent her an email to go into detail and put her worries to rest. And apologize for thinking that anyone could ask questions as long as they were not profone or suggestive, and mine wasnt ugly at all, but seemingly, this hubber saw it different. I told her that My One Question was all that I was going to ask that from now on NOTHING more from me. Somehow, even with doing right and giving in when it wasnt necessary, makes me even more depressed.

Thank YOU though for YOUR valuable advice and YOUR friendship and following on hubs. I appreciate you.
