With Thanksgiving here everyone is asking what wine to have with their dinner. Thanksgiving to me is all about family friends and comfort food and so you wine should bring the same feelings. It seems like every year there is a new wine that everyone talks about for their thanksgiving, but in my home the old classics are king. My meal has not changed to much over the years maybe a side or something or something but that is about all; and I’m sure you meal is the same way. So here is my topic picks for thanksgiving and what will be on my table

Best Thanksgiving White Wine

Before The Meal

Sauvignon Blanc- This wonderful crisp white wine is known for its citrus-based flavors with herb and mineral undertones that makes this wine prefect for thanksgiving and pairs will with the turkey.

I love 2011 Paul Dolan Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc Mendocino County Potter Valley

This wine has a distinctive kiwi fruit character, complemented by bright citrus zest and lemon grass notes. I taste kiwi and apple, and it has a very nice mouth feel.

Best Thanksgiving Red Wine

At The Meal

Pinot Noir- A true classic for Thanksgiving Day, Pinot Noir’s earthy undertones surround the fruit features of the wine, and it goes so well with everything on a thanksgiving dinner table.

I recommend 2011 Angeline Reserve Pinot Noir

With the aromas of black cherry, and sweet almost nutmeg spice. Flavors of cranberry and cherries makes this is such a good wine for the dinner table.

For Dessert

After the Meal

For dessert at my home we will be having 2008 Sun River Vintners Nebbiolo Angelica. This wine goes so well with pecan, or pumpkin pie. For me it goes well with my desserts but if you are unsure, a good Oloroso Sherry goes well with the basic thanksgiving desserts.

For my dinner this wines are the best and make my meal. I hope that I may have been some help to you, so you can think of friends and family and not what wine to sever. Enjoy your holiday, and leave any comments below.
