Well here is another great recipe that my mother Jean use to make when she had allot of zucchini to use up. We all liked this cake it is more like brownies than a cake. But I think you will enjoy the chocolate recipe and you can make it for your family and friends. It takes 1 hour for the cake to bake at 325 degrees about 30 minutes or less to prepare the cake for baking for a 1 hour. So I would say that this recipe is easy to make. And it isn't very hard to do when you have lots of zucchini from your garden. So make this great tasting cake recipe and hope you and your family and friends enjoy it?
Also this recipe is a great recipe to make for any occasions,birthdays,anniversaries,special occasion.

You can use any kind of baking dish or pan that is 9 x13 inch pan in size. Also as long as the pan or baking dish is for use in the oven so that it takes the degree in baking this cake which is 325 degrees for 1 hour. So I think you will be very successful with this surprising easy to make recipe using different colors skin zucchini and chocolate cake recipe. So I think when you have alot of extra zucchini you should try this recipe and you and your family will love it I believe. You should be able to buy the chocolate chips at your local grocery store which are smaller than regular chocolate chips.
They are called semi sweet chocolate chips that you should be able to great at your local grocery store. Also this is up to you but the recipe call for 1/2 TSP of cloves well I don't like cloves so I let it out when I make this recipe and I believe that the taste just as good with it left out or left in. But if you like the taste of cloves you can leave the cloves in the recipe. This is up to you if you like the taste of cloves but I do not. Well what you can do is make the recipe with cloves and try that cake with you and your family. And then if you want you can make the cake with out the cloves and let your family try that cake. After trying them both you and your family can decide which cake that you really like with or without the cloves. I prefer the cake with out the spice which is cloves.

Chocolate Zucchini Cake
1/3 cup of oleo
1/2 cup of oil
1 3/4 cups of sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup of sour milk
2 1/2 cups of flour
4 Tsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
1/2 TSP of cloves
2 cups of finely diced zucchini
1/2 cup of chocolate chips
(I use more chocolate chips on top of cake 1/2 cup is not enough) Yes if you have extra chocolate chips you can sprinkle more of them on top of your chocolate zucchini cake.The chocolate chips that you buy for this chocolate cake recipe that you can get at your local grocery store they are smaller than regular chocolate chips and what I use is semi sweet chocolate chips on top of my cake and in the batter of the cake.
Cream oleo,oil and sugar. add eggs,vanilla and sour milk.
Beat with Mixer. Combine all dry ingredients and add to creamed Mixture. Beat well. Stir in Zucchini. Pour in greased and floured 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle top with chocolate chips. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. And take it out of the oven and set the cake pan on a baking rake and let cool for about a hour or a hour and a half. Then you can cut the cake into squares and place them on a serving dish. Also after the cake cools you can freeze the cake for to bring out at a later date or in the future to cut into squares and serve on a nice or fancy serving plate for future use to your family and friends. If your family and friends enjoy this chocolate zucchini cake recipe maybe they will want the recipe and they can make it and serve it to their family and friends. There are many possibility that you can do with this cake recipe as a dessert for people to use when they are entertaining family and friends or guests. You can make this cake recipe for any occassion a family members birthday or as a dessert for a special family occassion or during the holidays season you can make the cake as a dessert for to serve after your main meal of Thankgiving or the Christmas Holiday you can serve this cake for any occassion at any time of the year. If you want you can make this cake and after it cools you can cut it into squares and wrap them in special colors of saran wrap and put a ribbon around them and a bowand give them as a gift to family and friends at the holidays seasons and any other special occassion.

Yes! You can use any color skin type of zucchini. Green, Yellow or White skin color of zucchini.Because it doesn't matter what color the outer skin of the zucchini is because they are all the same on the inside when you cut them up to make this cake. Green zucchini and very common variety to grow is black beauty, and if you grow yellow or golden zucchini one golden variety that you can grow is gold rush. and the one variety that you can grow that is white is the Lebanese white type of zucchini. So you can use and grow any of these zucchini and the cake will taste great with any of the zucchini varieties that you decide to grow.
