Frothy Seperated Layer
~ Jello Recipe ~
Replace the cold water in the regular preparation steps with 1/2 tub of cool whip. Blend using a mixer and pour into individual glass serving dishes - also looks great in champagne glasses. The jello will begin to separate almost immediately. Refrigerate until firm. An opaque frothy (but firm) pastel colored layer will form at the top. Below it is the traditional translucent brightly colored layer. Dress it up with a few berries or slice of fruit for a nice finish.

To Serve
Strawberry Jello Cake
~ Recipe ~
1 white cake mix
1 package strawberry jello
1 container topping like Cool Whip
I try to use a pan for this that is nice enough looking to serve in - like glass. Bake cake according to directions, let cool. Mix jello with 1 cup of warm water. Using a fork, make several holes in top of cake without going through and then pour jello over cake. Spread Cool Whip over it and refrigerate until chilled. Decorate the top with colored sugar crystals or fresh strawberries.
Another option is to thaw a package of frozen strawberries, and put a layer between the cake and the cool-whip.

Jello Jigglers
~ Classic Jello Recipe ~
2 1/2 cups boiling water (Do not add cold water.)
2 pkg. (8-serving size each) Jello of any flavor
Stir the jello into the boiling water until it is completely dissolved. Then pour mix into a 13x9-inch pan, and put into the refrigerator until firm. It should not stick to the touch.
Dip the bottom of the pan into warm water for about 15 seconds to loosen jello from bottom of pan. Using cookie cutters, or a butter knife, cut out the desired shapes. Lift shapes from the pan.

I haven't had jello since I was a child at kids' birthday parties! Brings back memories.

Thanks for sharing all these delicious jello recipes.
I didn't know you could do so many different things with Jello. I'll have to try some of these.
This is great! Can't wait to make that dive-on-in cake with my girls!:)
i love jello. thanks for the recipes
I don't have a recipe but just got a few great ideas for the 4th of July from your lens. Thanks
Trader Joe's has a new jello that is a little more natural, a little less likely to make you glow in the dark. :) I used to mix lemon-lime jello with 7-up and applesauce - that's "salad" in the South.
Some great ideas here. Any suggestions where to find recipes for any of the jellos shown in pics? I'd like to make the umbrella one!
always good to have 2 or 3 of these molds on hand, great article with selection.
I love jello, i hardly mix it with water, i usually use juice. i love that jello dive in cake. I hope to try it sometime
My daughter adds applesauce instead of water. Grand kids love it. Great lens
I love jello! Here's the current family favourite: Make jello as per packet, allow to set, then cut into pieces and mix into melted chocolate; add marshmellows & set. Jello Rocky Road!
Oh, Jello! I love the stuff. But I've never seen anything like the Jello Dive-In Cake. It's a masterpiece! Nice lens

I love layered jello cakes.
I am such a Jelloholic! I can eat Jello everyday. If I was stranded on a deserted island and could only have one type of food it would be chocolate (but Jello would be in my top ten, behind cheese).
Love your fun lens!
I just love jello, so I enjoyed your lens a lot. I also have a jello lens that you might like: Fluffy Jello Dessert
Love the jigglers! My favorite thing is fruit cocktail. I put the can in the fridge and use the syrup for the cold water part of the jello recipe.
You have some great recipes. Love the dive in cake.
nice ways to add some pizazz to a jello mold
Excellent lens - well done!
The Jello fish bowl is pretty awesome! I have come across several recipes for using Jello mix to flavor cookies with. It's on my to-do list!
The most beautiul cake I ever saw was a large and replica of my favorite cruise ship. The cake was about 8 feet long, and every detail was duplicated, right down to the water in the two swimming pools and hot tubs. The water was actually berry blue jello.
I added this to my Jello Strawberry Salad lens because there are so many great ideas here. I'm glad to see a purple star because it really deserves one. Angel blessed
LOL! I happen to think jello was one of the greatest inventions ever! Thanks for the new ideas :)

Kids love jello and so do I! Thanks for making me smile.
I like to use orange juice for the cold water part of orange or peach jello - omigosh, that's tasty. I also use the sugar free instant jello pudding mixed with juice as the sweet sauce for my fruit salad. Enjoyed this lens - now I'm wanting some Jello.
kids just love jello when it comes to picnic... nice lense
Jello Jigglers can't be beat!
My mom always made a vegetable salad with lime jello. I haven't thought about that for YEARS! Now I'm going to see if anyone has that recipe...it was just delicious even though it doesn't sound very good. Thanks for tweaking my memory!

I use to have a orange chicken recipe made with orange flavor jello instead of orange juice or marmalade that was terrific. I can nno longer find it. Does anyone know tis recipe and would be willing to share it???
Thanks a whole bunch!!!
My mom was talking about a cake she recalls as "cut glass cake" which consisted of different colors of jello cut into squares then placed inside a spring form pan. She used lady fingers on the outside but cannot recall what was mixed with the different colors of jello. She said when you cut it open it looked like "cut glass". Anyone have a clue to an old recipe that sounds like this?
and for you vegans: Vegan Jel Dessert
Looking for Jello recipes, uses the dry Jello (no water added hot or cold) The recipes I am talking about takes a box of jello frozen fruit, cottage cheese, cool whip and some times cream cheese to make. Does anyone have any of this type of recipe? My mother in law made many different types but they primarily has some or all of these ingredients.
She lived in a small town in Ks, but has now passed on not leaving any of these fabulous recipes behind. Most of the people in the small town that she knew has also passed on or don't remember how they were made so if amy one has any of this type of recipe PLEASE POST and PASS THEM ON, They were so YUMMY!
even though I don't eat like this any more (sugar) this is a beautiful lens !
