Make Nice Napkins from Paper Towel
Another family and mine rented a vacation home for two weeks a few years ago. Together we were four adults and four kids. As I am not a cook I took ownership of setting the table before every meal. At the beginning of our vacation, as we had no napkins, I simply put sheets of paper towel down at each setting as the napkin. As the vacation progressed I elected to mix things up a bit by modifying the napkins.
It wasn't hard, really, fold the paper towel sheets together, cut a few small triangles out of each side, then unfold them, separate them and place them. This small touch cost nothing, but added a bit of interest to our meals and made it so that the table looked a bit nicer.
Adding a bit of spice to our lives can be simple as giving someone a smile. Why not look for ways that we can add art into our every day existence?
