My Favorite Childhood Snack

Updated on August 2, 2011

We all have that favorite snack from our childhood that always brings back memories. Mine is something we called Peanut butter Frosting. It was something that was easy for me to make from simple ingredients we always had on hand. I don't know where the idea came from or if other families made this as well. Every time I think of it I smile. I have since taught my kids how to make this snack and they love it as much as I did. I hope it brings them some great memories when they grow up as well.

The ingredients are very simple and we always have them in the house. All you need is creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, milk, and graham crackers. You could also use chunky peanut butter if you like the crunch.

My family never had a recipe for this, I just mixed it until it tasted good to me. I just made this last night for my kids, I measured the ingredients so I would have the recipe to share.

1/2 cup peanut butter, I used creamy

1 cup powdered sugar

3 Tbsp milk

Put all ingredients into a bowl and mix well.

If you want it sweeter, add more sugar. Less sweet, add more peanut butter. If you want a thinner frosting add more milk, less milk for thicker frosting.

We discovered last night that this is great as a dip for pretzels. It gives you that great sweet and salty experience.
