According to The Journal of the American College of Nutrition the Omega 3 oils found in tuna can even help with arthritic pain and autoimmune diseases. Tuna can also lower cholesterol and blood pressure.

A healthy chicken and salad dinner is another quick and nutritious idea. According to Nutrition Data, one serving of chicken breast contains only 3 grams of fat, which is nothing in comparison to the fast food of one piece of fried chicken that contains 19 grams of fat, plus 1145 of sodium. You can make a quick nutritious meal at home by seasoning some chicken breasts with Italian herbs and cooking it in olive oil. It doesn’t take long to prepare or cook. The time it takes to cook this is pretty much the same as ordering and waiting in a drive-thru line, and the money you save is about half.

Ricotta and whole wheat tortillas is another healthy meal choice. Ricotta is actually not a cheese but a curd. The word ricotta means re-cooked which I thought was sort of interesting. The sodium that ricotta contains is quite low. Ricotta is also good source of calcium, selenium and protein. Which are essential mineral and vitamins that our body needs to maintain a healthy body. For a fast and easy lunch, just spread some ricotta cheese in the center of a whole-wheat tortilla. Then add some drained, crushed pineapple with a dash of nutmeg. And there you have it a nutritious and appetizing lunch.
