Given below is the ingredients and method of preparation of Poha Idli.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Rice Semolina (Idli Rawa)
- 1/4 Cup Beaten Rice
- 1/4 Cup split Black Gram or Urad
- Salt
- Oil
Method of Preparation
Soak Rice semolina, Beaten Rice in one container and Urad Dal in another for 2-3 hours. Make a fine paste of Urad Dal adding little water in a blender. Once ready keep aside. Now make a fine paste of the rice semolina and beaten rice in the blender and add it to the urad paste. Add salt and mix well. Keep the mixture aside for 6-8 hours for fermentation. Once ready grease the idli plates using oil and use the batter to make idlis. Steam the batter for 5-10 minutes. Remove from molds and serve hot with Chutney.
Aloo Poha Recipe
Given below is the ingredients and method of preparation of Aloo Poha.
Ingredients
2 Cups Beaten Rice
2 medium potatoes boiled and cut into pieces
1 medium onion finely chopped
2 green chilies chopped
½ teaspoon mustard seeds
¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
2 tsp sugar
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp oil
Chopped Coriander Leaves
Salt
Method of Preparation
Wash the poha and drain well. Keep aside for 10-15 minutes. Now heal oil in a wok and splutter the mustard seeds. Once done add chopped onion and green chilies till the onion turns translucent. Add potato pieces, turmeric powder, sugar and salt and mix well. Sprinkle some water on top and sauté for 4-5 minutes. Remove from flame. Add lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves and mix well. Serve hot.
