Quick And Easy Chili Recipe

Updated on February 1, 2010

Sometimes it's just hard to get to the grocery store and then you are left to go through the cupbards and "throw" something together for supper. Sometimes you just have to improvise and actually I like experimenting so when I had one of those days I took inventory and started pulling things out.what I came up with was a very quick and easy chili that actually took way less time and effort than my normal chili which I always started the day ahead because I would cut up all fresh ingredients and simmer all day till it thickened. My family really liked this quick version so I now have stuck to this and wanted to share it. Hope you like it

Quick and Easy Chili On The Run

In a 4 quart sauce pan Brown...

1 lb ground beef

1 lb sausage

Add 1 can stewed tomatoes w/ juice

1 jar of chuncky salsa Mild/Hot etc

1 can of tomatoe sauce or paste

1 can of water.

1 can of baked beans (never liked kidney beans. they taste like cardboard)

Add chili powder /salt/pepper/garlic to taste

heat and serve

This is also good over tortillia chips with melted cheddar and sour cream.
