Tea - Something to Celebrate!

I love tea in all of the varieties I have ever tried. I have enjoyed a number of brewed cups of black, green, and herbal teas over the course of my life. Tea parties are especially fun, as is going to a specialty tea house to enjoy a cup of tea. It is hard to decide if I like those things more, or just a cup of herbal tea at the end of a long day. Regardless, I thought these quotes were fun to read, and perhaps fun to recall at your next tea party or celebration.

Now is as good of a time as any, to brew and pour yourself a nice cup of hot or iced tea!

My Favorite, and Very Simple To Make Tea Cakes

I thought it would be fun to share at least one recipe here with the quotes I have found. This is great to have for any get together, but especially for a "tea." In fact, my mother wanted the recipe recently again, to have for her friends birthday tea party. It was the lady's favorite thing at the tea! It is so simple, that I will never be without it.

Simple and Easy Tea Cakes:

I package of white cake mix - follow directions to make a cake until you get to the point of mixing the batter.

Once batter is ready to put into a cake pan, simply scoop a very small amount of the cake batter into a cupcake or muffin tin. You are basically making very short cupcakes, not even an inch tall. Try to put the same amount into each pan, and cook until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Just a few minutes.

Have prepared a cinnamon sugar mixture. Melt some butter or margarine, and dip the tops of the little cakes into the butter. Or, you can brush butter over the tops. Then dip each cake into the cinnamon sugar. Place on waxed paper layers in an airtight container until ready to serve.

These are great to have prepared ahead, and look so cute with your other tea time treats. Put out on a tiered set of plates, or a pretty tray with garnishes of your choice. They are so simple and yummy!
