Tea - Something to Celebrate!

I love tea in all of the varieties I have ever tried. I have enjoyed a number of brewed cups of black, green, and herbal teas over the course of my life. Tea parties are especially fun, as is going to a specialty tea house to enjoy a cup of tea. It is hard to decide if I like those things more, or just a cup of herbal tea at the end of a long day. Regardless, I thought these quotes were fun to read, and perhaps fun to recall at your next tea party or celebration.

Now is as good of a time as any, to brew and pour yourself a nice cup of hot or iced tea!

My Favorite, and Very Simple To Make Tea Cakes

I thought it would be fun to share at least one recipe here with the quotes I have found. This is great to have for any get together, but especially for a "tea." In fact, my mother wanted the recipe recently again, to have for her friends birthday tea party. It was the lady's favorite thing at the tea! It is so simple, that I will never be without it.

Simple and Easy Tea Cakes:

I package of white cake mix - follow directions to make a cake until you get to the point of mixing the batter.

Once batter is ready to put into a cake pan, simply scoop a very small amount of the cake batter into a cupcake or muffin tin. You are basically making very short cupcakes, not even an inch tall. Try to put the same amount into each pan, and cook until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Just a few minutes.

Have prepared a cinnamon sugar mixture. Melt some butter or margarine, and dip the tops of the little cakes into the butter. Or, you can brush butter over the tops. Then dip each cake into the cinnamon sugar. Place on waxed paper layers in an airtight container until ready to serve.

These are great to have prepared ahead, and look so cute with your other tea time treats. Put out on a tiered set of plates, or a pretty tray with garnishes of your choice. They are so simple and yummy!

Easy Exercise, thank you! I am so glad you enjoyed the photos and the quotes about tea. The way you described that you take your tea, sounds wonderful to me! Currently, I am sipping some green tea after a long day. That is what sounded good, and yet I didn't want too much caffeine.

I hope you get to attend your high tea before long, that sounds wonderful. I have been to a few tea houses and to some formal teas, and they are simply wonderful.

      Ocean Sunsets,

Outstanding! From the content to the photos - what a true delight! Thank you!

I have tried other teas but the basic black breakfast tea remains my favorite.

And I have tried cream in my tea and it doesn't work for me.

A black tea with a teaspoon of sugar remains one of my many rituals.

I have always wanted to attend a "high tea" - it is on my bucket list and you have reminded me of that quest.

Lynette, the more I looked at the various quotes out there, I thought the same thing! I love a good cup of tea, or coffee for that matter. Thanks for stopping by.

Hello Victoria, I love coffee and have it every day. Like you say there, I should really make tea more often. Lately, i am having more tea, both herbal and black tea. I wonder if it would be healthier to have less coffee and more tea though. It seems like there are a lot of benefits to coffee too though. As for tea parties, they do sound really fun, and I haven't been to one in a while. Thank you for the comment.

I drink coffee daily, but I like tea a lot and should make it more often! The quotes are so calming and pleasant, just like tea! A tea party with friends would be really fun!

Poetryman, I am glad that the tea cakes sound delightful to you, and that I could share what they are with you. (At least my version of a tea cake that I learned to make years ago from my dear friend.) Thank you for the comment.

Hello Mary, hot tea on cold days is probably the best time to drink it. I like that also. I do love a tall glass of iced tea in the hot summer time as well. It is even better to me if it has a slice of lemon. Thank you for your comment.

Hi Jodah, thank you very much. I love both coffee and tea, but probably have coffee more consistently. Tea is something I love to drink as well. I'm glad you enjoyed this!

Very nicely written and attractive hub. Great "tea" quotes too. I am a coffee drinker but do have the occasional cup of tea for a change. Voted up. I enjoyed this.
