Ingredients

3/4 pound beef skirt steak thin and cut into 1/8 inch thick strips

1/3 cup Hoisin Sauce

1 teaspoon Dragon sauce

3 T sesame oil

1/3 cup sherry

3T vegetable oil, plus more if needed

1 Teaspoon ginger

1 clove garlic mashed

1lb fresh broccoli cut into florets

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon soy sauce

Directions

1) Make your marinade: Mix the Hoisin sauce, Dragon sauce, sesame oil, sherry, soy sauce, sugar in a bowl and stir well. Place the cut beef in the marinade. Cover with plastic wrap and let marinade 1 hour. Place in refrigerator.

2)Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium high heat. Stir in the garlic and teaspoon ginger. Let the garlic and ginger sizzle for about a minute to flavor the oil. Stir in the broccoli. Toss in the flavored oil and let cook until bright green and almost tender for about 5-7 minutes. Once cooked- remove the broccoli and set aside.

3)Add your beef to the wok, and add a little bit more oil to coat the bottom lightly. Cook the meat for about 5 or so minutes till the meat is no longer pink.

4) In a small glass add your 1 teaspoon cornstarch and 1/3 cup of water. The cornstarch mixture will be watery. Add this to your beef mixture to thicken up the sauce.Stir well and let boil. Cook 1 more minute.

5) Add your cooked broccoli to the meat, stir well. Serve with rice. Enjoy your Restaurant style Beef and broccoli.
