How to Make Pimiento Cheese Spread

Sandwich Time

As Americans we have our love affair with sandwiches. Most of us alive today remember running through the kitchen and making a sandwich. I remember one of the first things I did when I was growing up was make a sandwich as soon as I got home from school. And I remember some of the things I simply loved as a child. And I still confort myself with the same things today. I simply loved my Mom's homemade pimiento cheese. It was simply wonderful when we had grilled pimiento cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. And below is the recipe for the best pimiento cheese you will ever eat. Try it in a grilled pimiento cheese sandwich with tomato soup and you may find yourself day dreaming about it to.

Pimiento Cheese

1 1/2 Cups Of Dukes Mayonaise
1 4 OZ. Jar of Red Pimientos
1 Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 Teaspoon Fine Grated Onion
1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cayenne Pepper
1 10 Oz. Pkg Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese Finely Grated
1 10 Oz. Pkg Cheddar Cheese Finely Grated

Mix all your ingredients together in a large bowl. Be sure that you mix together very well. Place in a container that has a lid. You can store this Pimiento Cheese in a refrigerator for a week to 10 days. But if you make some grilled pimiento cheese sandwiches you won't have to worry about storing it. I guarantee you that your children will love it.

Dukes Mayonnaise

If you have Dukes Mayonnaise available in your area use it for the recipe. If not I would suggest Kraft. Southerners including me have a long standing tradition of using Dukes Mayonnaise.

Fried Peanut Butter And Banana Sandwich Recipe

This sandwich was one of Elvis Presley's favorites and your kids would just simply love these sandwiches on a Saturday morning. And the sandwich really is great. It is so tasty and your going to find yourself wanting more.

For Making One Sandwich You Will Need

2 Slices Of White Bread

2 Tablespoons Creamy Peanut Butter

1 Small Ripe Banana

2 Tablespoons Margarine

Spread one side of your bread with Peanut Butter and then slice the banana very thin over the top of the Peanut Butter. Fry your sandwich in margarine in a small frying pan until brown on both sides. You will need to flip the sandwich over halfway through cooking to brown it on both sides.

Club Sandwich

Club Sandwich Recipe

This recipe for Club Sandwiches is a little more involved but the sandwich you will end up with will be one of the best Club Sandwiches you will ever eat. So follow along and before long you will be eating one of the south's best sandwiches.

For the dressing you will need.

1. 1 8 Oz. Carton Sour Cream

2. 2 Tablespoons Horseradish

3. 2 Teaspoons Honey Mustard

4. 1/2 Teaspoon Grated Raw Garlic

5. 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper

Combine all your ingredients in a small mixing bowl and whisk together very well. This in its self makes a wonderful spread for almost any sandwich. And it can be stored in the refrigerator for a week or so.

Now You Will Need For Your Club Sandwich

1. One Pound Very Thinly Sliced Boiled Ham

2. One Pound Very Thinly Sliced Smoked Turkey

3. 1/2 Pound Bacon Fried Crisp

4. 1/2 Pound Thin Sliced Swiss Cheese

5. Tomato Slices

6. Lettuce Leafs

7. 3 Slices Of Bread Toasted For Each Sandwich You Need

Spread the dressing you made above on one side of each slice of the toasted bread. On one slice of your bread place ham, tomato slices, and lettuce. Place a slice of bread on top of the above ingredients. On top of that place bacon,  turkey, and cheese  and then another slice of bread. Cut your sandwich into triangles and stick a toothpick through to hold everything together.

This sandwich is made at drug store sandwich counters all over the south and has always been one of my favorite sandwiches. If you make this sandwich or one of the ones above please post a comment below and let us know what you think.
