Simply combine ingredients in a large bowl and stir. If you can wait, let it sit in the frig for 20 minutes to hydrate the onions. You can eat it right away -- but the onions maybe a little crispy still.
** pro tip - Use prongs of a fork to pry off the hot sauce inner lid, so you can pour it that much faster.
Serve with your favorite chips or make your own.
We came up with this super simple recipe after months of testing out different amounts of various ingredients and found this to be the simplest and tastiest combination. While super simple and tasty, you probably already have most of the ingredients in your cupboard.
The canned tomatoes and dried onions takes the work out of making your own salsa, as you don't have to chop or cook either the tomatoes or onions.
