Sweet Plantains Recipe

While in Cuba I developed a taste for plantains and wonder why they are not served all over the world. This recipe is simple but delicious and the recipe is quite easy to follow along with and make.

For your fried sweet plantains you will need.

You will need 2-3 ripe black plantains. Yes they are ripe when black.

Unsalted Real Butter.

1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon.

1 Teaspoon Real Vanilla Extract.

2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar.

2 Tablespoons Sweet Chili Sauce.( Wal-Mart sells a delicious version of this as does the dollar tree stores. )

Slice your plantains thin and fry in real butter.Add all your other ingredients and fry until your plantains are golden brown. Your seasonings are just perfect to give your plantains a wonderful flavor that you will not soon forget. Serve in small dishes as a side to your black beans and rice.
