Yam Fry
Yam is one of the tastiest side dishes for rice along with sambar, spinach, and curd. There are various styles to prepare yam fry, but here, I would like to share the Southindian recipes without which a wedding buffet is incomplete.

- cooking oil, to fry
- 250 grams yam, peeled and chopped
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 10 curry leaves
- 1 tablespoon chilly powder
- half teaspoon garam masala powder
- salt
Procedure
step 1) Peel off the yam and chop it into small slices and make it to boil in water along with a pinch of salt and turmeric.
Step[ 2) Cook until it becomes tender.
Step 2) Then drain the water and spread the yam pieces over a paper to make it dry.
Step 3) Meanwhile, Heat oil in a pan and fry the yam pieces till it becomes crispy.
Step 5) Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Once the seeds splutter, put curry leaves and fried yam pieces.
Step 6)Then add chilly powder,garam masala powder, and salt over it and saute it for a while, then remove it from the stove and garnish with curry leaves.
