Efficient Packaging for Milk

Today I purchased my first "bag of milk", yes you heard me correctly. It came in a plastic bag. We have discussed the option of the square milk jug and I thought that was a great idea. The square jug would save valuable shipping space thus saving fuel costs and expensive cold storage space. I liked the idea of the square jug so that my refrigerator space could be used more efficiently.
The bag of milk came with a plastic container that could be reused. The plastic container was very flimsy so that part of the equation, I feel may need to be revisited.
The marketing that came with this new package was great - a punch card where if I bought milk or orange juice over time I could earn $1 coupon.
Of course, we use allot of milk so the $1 coupon means allot over time.
The jury on the bag of milk is still out at my house. It is simply too new to accurately report. We will give it a try over the next couple of weeks.
Have you tried the "bag of milk"?
